Somdej Phra Buddhachan was a highly revered senior monk in the Mahanikaya sect of Thai Buddhism. He is deeply respected by Thai Buddhists and is commonly known by various names such as “Somdej Toh,” “Luang Pu Toh,” or “Somdej Wat Rakhang.”

He served as the abbot of Wat Rakhang Kositaram Woramahawihan during the reign of King Rama IV and into the early reign of King Rama V. He was later bestowed the title “Somdej Phra Buddhachan,” one of the highest ecclesiastical ranks in the Thai monastic order.
